Soccer Recap: A.J. Ellender Takes a Loss

A.J. Ellender was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Lafourche Tarpons. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tarpons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

A.J. Ellender's record now sits at 2-14-1. As for South Lafourche, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A.J. Ellender will take on East St. John at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A.J. Ellender is facing East St. John at the right time seeing as East St. John is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for South Lafourche, they will challenge Lutcher at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lutcher is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.
