Volleyball Game Preview: Cholla Chargers vs. Rio Rico Hawks + Official Tickets

Cholla is 1-6 against Rio Rico since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Chargers will challenge the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 15 defeats in a row, Cholla turned things around against Amphitheater on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 3-2.

Douglas typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Rio Rico proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bulldogs. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Cholla's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-16. As for Rio Rico, their win bumped their record up to 22-5.

Cholla might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Rio Rico in their previous matchup last Monday. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
