Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Washington nor Fort Zumwalt East made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bluejays fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bluejays have suffered against the Lions since March 30, 2022.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Fort Zumwalt East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will host Rolla at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Zumwalt East, they will square off against Timberland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
