Preview: Picayune vs. Gulfport
This week, Gulfport (1-2) and Picayune (2-1) square off against each other on Friday at 7:00 PM. Gulfport had trouble holding onto the ball last game, so we'll find out if Picayune can capitalize on its slippery fingers.
Gulfport wasn't able to scrape together any points last week, falling to Archbishop Rummel 31 - 0. Senior Karlos Dillard didn't go down without a fight, though. He put up some defensive resistance with 12 tackles. Dillard has been the ringleader for Gulfport this season two times now.
As for Picayune, it had all the answers against Pascagoula last week, winning 27 - 6. No one had a larger role in the success than senior running back Shaun Anderson, who brought his A game into the contest. He picked up 163 yards on the ground. This marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Anderson had 100+ rushing yards.
