Recap: Heights Bulldogs vs. Clear Creek Wildcats
The Heights Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-48 to Clear Creek. While losing is never fun, Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 646th, while Clear Creek is ranked 142nd).
Despite the defeat, Heights had strong showings from Jordan Clavelle, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds, and Lamont Robins, who scored 10 points. The contest was Clavelle's third in a row with at least ten points.
Heights has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Clear Creek, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heights will take on Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Bellaire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Wednesday. Clear Creek won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Langham Creek at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
