Baseball Recap: Heights Comes Up Short

Heights suffered their closest defeat since March 9, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Westside Wolves by a score of 6-4. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Chris-Angel Jimenez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Heights: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Soto, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-15 record this season.
