Soccer Game Preview: West Stanly vs. Trinity

The West Stanly Colts will take on the Trinity Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Stanly will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

West Stanly's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Anson. West Stanly might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Anson from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Raygan Gainey led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Trinity's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Providence Grove. Trinity haven't had much luck with Providence Grove recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

West Stanly pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
