Basketball Game Preview: Lowell Cardinals vs. Lincoln Mustangs

Lowell is 1-9 against Lincoln since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lowell Cardinals will square off against the Lincoln Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Lowell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Lowell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 58-47 victory over Wallenberg.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Phoenix 62-24. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Lincoln's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points over those games. As for Lowell, their victory bumped their record up to 13-16.

Things could have been worse for Lowell, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-39 loss to Lincoln in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Lowell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
