Football Game Preview: Industrial Cobras vs. Rice Consolidated Raiders

The Industrial Cobras will challenge the Rice Consolidated Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Industrial will be strutting in after a victory while Rice Consolidated will be coming in after a defeat.

Industrial took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Van Vleck by a score of 27-19. The Cobras haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Rice Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-13 defeat at the hands of Brazos. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.

Industrial's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Rice Consolidated, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Industrial was able to grind out a solid win over Rice Consolidated when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 28-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
