Soccer Recap: Huntington Beach Comes Up Short

Huntington Beach was the 2-1 winner over Fountain Valley when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huntington Beach Oilers fell 4-2 to the Fountain Valley Barons on Wednesday.

Huntington Beach dropped their record down to 5-5-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Fountain Valley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Huntington Beach will be playing in front of their home fans against Corona del Mar at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Corona del Mar's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fountain Valley, they will challenge Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
