Basketball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Baldwin Indians, falling 48-23. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly 25 points.

Baldwin had a senior duo take command as Nyrie Gabriel posted 16 points and Stephanie Cassels put up 11 points.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Baldwin, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Westside and Baldwin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Westside (ranked 600th) will meet Episcopal School of Jacksonville (ranked 265th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Baldwin will take on Baker County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 263 places (430 vs. 167).
