Mt. Carmel dropped their record down to 14-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the El Camino Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Sundevils seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Mt. Carmel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for El Camino, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 11-11. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

On El Camino's side, the result came thanks to Zane Nordquist's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. Nordquist has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Stelzer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

While Mt. Carmel had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
