            Baseball Preview: Stanton County Trojans vs. Sublette Larks        
        
		
        
        
            Stanton County is preparing for their first  district matchup of the season  on Friday. They will host the Sublette Larks  at 2:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Stanton County has three straight  victories, Sublette has 12 straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Stanton County proved they can win big  on Thursday (they won by 20) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Springfield  7-5.
 David Crane made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched six innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. Crane was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Crane wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Eduardo Rodriguez, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Sublette lost  17-4 to Elkhart on Tuesday.
 Sublette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Stanton County, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Stanton County was able to grind out a solid  win over Sublette when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, winning  13-9. Do  the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Larks turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
