Baseball Recap: Morton Comes Up Short

Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Puckett Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Puckett, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morton will welcome Pisgah at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Puckett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sebastopol at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
