Baseball Recap: Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Extends Winning Streak to 11

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley entered their tilt with Laporte on Friday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They blew past the Wildcats 15-1. Considering the Wolves have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bradley Hasse made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Skyler Westphal and TJ Orton did most of the damage at the plate: Westphal went 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI, while Orton went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those four runs gave Westphal a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Levi Meschke, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Laporte, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
