Baseball Recap: St. Dominic Takes a Loss

St. Dominic lost against Marquette back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. St. Dominic took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marquette. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daniel Henke and Cooper Montgomery stepped up to the plate in a big way. Henke scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Montgomery went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Eggering, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

St. Dominic's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Marquette, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, St. Dominic will face off against Rockwood Summit at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marquette, they are taking a road trip to challenge Parkway South at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Marquette's pitchers better be ready for this one: Parkway South has averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
