Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stone). They blew past the Laurel Golden Tornadoes 14-2 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Tomcats in their matchups with the Golden Tornadoes: they've now won six in a row.

Jhase Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Jones, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Stone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Stone's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Laurel, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Stone wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Vancleave on the 8th. As for Laurel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 loss against East Central on the 8th.
