South Ripley is 10-0 against Shawe Memorial since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The South Ripley Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. South Ripley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Last Tuesday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, South Ripley made off with a 61-60 victory over Trinity Lutheran.

Meanwhile, Shawe Memorial had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 57-37 margin over the Jets. Given the Hilltoppers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Jets are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shawe Memorial's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for South Ripley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

South Ripley took their victory against Shawe Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 41-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Ripley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
