Passers beware: (Greedy) Karnell James Jr came down with his first-ever interception on Friday and he's no doubt on the hunt for more. He also made three total tackles and defended one pass as Manvel fell to Shadow Creek 27-20. We hope James Jr's good performance is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Coming up, James Jr and Manvel will take on Pearland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Oilers will enter the matchup having just beaten Alvin, so the Mavericks will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
