Football Game Preview: Amphitheater Panthers vs. Catalina Foothills Falcons

Amphitheater is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will challenge the Catalina Foothills Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Amphitheater played against Cholla on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Catalina Foothills is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-28 heartbreaker at the hands of Pueblo.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Catalina Foothills, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Amphitheater might still be hurting after the 49-26 defeat they got from Catalina Foothills in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 28-7.
