Basketball Recap: Te'asia Briscoe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Marion

Purdue Polytechnic won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Saturday too. The Purdue Polytechnic Techies enjoyed a cozy 63-45 win over the Marion Giants.

Purdue Polytechnic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Te'Asia Briscoe out in front who posted nine points along with seven boards and four blocks. Briscoe is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Nyiah Rogers, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Purdue Polytechnic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Purdue Polytechnic's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Marion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Purdue Polytechnic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-35 defeat against Ben Davis on the 28th. As for Marion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-39 victory against Jac-Cen-Del on the 28th.
