Tappan Zee extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 5-1 in the process. Everything went their way against the Nyack Red Hawks as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dutchmen, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Nyack, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

For Nyack's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yelina Arias, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tappan Zee will host Pelham Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dutchmen are facing the Pelicans at the right time seeing as the Pelicans are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Nyack, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ketcham at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
