Recap: Victory Christian Center Kings vs. North Hills Christian Eagles
The Victory Christian Center Kings waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Hills Christian 99-59 on the road. With Victory Christian Center ahead 51-29 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Victory Christian Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Perry, who scored 18 points. Perry has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alius Bowser, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why North Hills Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Champion Hayden. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 52.5% of North Hills Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jerrod Drye Jr., who scored nine points along with five assists.
Victory Christian Center has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for North Hills Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.
