Volleyball Game Preview: Marlborough Mustangs vs. Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs

The Marlborough Mustangs will face off against the Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Marlborough is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Notre Dame (SO) just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since September 18th.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Sacred Heart didn't have quite enough to beat Louisville on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Tologs in their meetings with the Royals: they've now lost four in a row.

Flintridge Sacred Heart wouldn't go down easily and took Louisville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-15, 25-18, 18-25, 15-5.

Marlborough's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Flintridge Sacred Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-16.

Marlborough took their win against Flintridge Sacred Heart in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tologs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
