Recap: Alhambra Bulldogs vs. Berkeley Yellowjackets

The Alhambra Bulldogs managed to keep up with the Berkeley Yellowjackets until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Alhambra took a serious blow against Berkeley, falling 74-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alhambra has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Alhambra still got an impressive performance from Torrance Avery, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Cooper Largent was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Alhambra's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Berkeley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alhambra won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sonoma Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Sonoma Valley and Alhambra are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Berkeley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Modesto Christian at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Modesto Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Monday.
