Valley Christian Academy came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Coast Union Broncos as they made off with a 7-1 win. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Torin Ellis was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in triples (two). Another player making a difference was Tomas Kramer, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Valley Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Coast Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Coast Union will host Coastal Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Broncos' game: after the Broncos faces off against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, they'll take on Valley Christian Academy again at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
