Preview: Caesar Rodney Riders vs. Polytech Panthers
Caesar Rodney is 8-2 against Polytech since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Caesar Rodney Riders will look to defend their home court against the Polytech Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Caesar Rodney faced Smyrna in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Caesar Rodney fell to Smyrna 55-49. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Caesar Rodney has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Polytech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by St. Georges Tech 78-30. Polytech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.
Caesar Rodney's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Polytech, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-5 record last season and are now at 2-7.
Caesar Rodney might still be hurting after the 73-53 loss they got from Polytech in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Caesar Rodney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
