Des Arc waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Bartlett Panthers get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Give the Eagles' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Des Arc saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Buckner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another was Reagan Kittler, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Des Arc's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bartlett, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Des Arc will be playing in front of their home fans against Hernando at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bartlett, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Bartlett Panthers challenge Munford Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Munford has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
