Basketball Game Preview: North Eagles vs. Williston-Elko Blue Devils

The North Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Williston-Elko Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, North lost to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on the road by a 51-36 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Williston-Elko came tearing into last Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Saints by a score of 35-25.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Williston-Elko, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

North was able to grind out a solid victory over Williston-Elko when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 50-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
