Baseball Game Preview: Covenant Christian Chargers vs. Western Michigan Christian Warriors

The Covenant Christian Chargers will head out to face off against the Western Michigan Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Christian has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Covenant Christian lost 17-1 to Hopkins on Monday. The Chargers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Western Michigan Christian waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 9-4.

Nathan Clausing was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Quint Menefee also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Western Michigan Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Western Michigan Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Covenant Christian couldn't quite finish off Western Michigan Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2019 and fell 8-6. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
