Football Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Comes Up Short

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it six. They were dealt a 60-0 defeat at the hands of the Weeping Water Indians. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

As for Weeping Water, their record now sits at 5-2. They have beaten Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer has come to flipping the script.

Weeping Water had a senior duo take command as Luke Harms gained 182 total yards and five touchdowns and Tucker Bickford rushed for 70 yards and three TDs. Harms also rushed for 180 rushing yards, which is notable because the Indians are undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer and Weeping Water could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. The Titans (ranked 134th) will meet Johnson County Central (ranked 50th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Weeping Water will take on Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (90 vs. 21).
