Basketball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre was the 44-41 winner over Hobart when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sayre Eagles fell 42-31 to the Hobart Bearcats on Tuesday.

Sayre now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Hobart, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sayre will host Texhoma at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hobart, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hobart Bearcats take on the Hollis Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hobart is facing Hollis at the right time seeing as Hollis is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
