Volleyball Recap: Hamilton/Warsaw Falls to Barry Western in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Hamilton/Warsaw had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Barry Western Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hamilton/Warsaw sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 16-25, 25-14.

Barry Western can attribute much of their success to Loryn White, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces White has posted since back in September of 2024.

Hamilton/Warsaw will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Beardstown at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Barry Western, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Illini West on the 26th.
