Volleyball Recap: Medfield Takes Down Ranked Old Rochester Regional

Medfield faced Old Rochester Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three matches in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-11, 27-25.

Kendall Larkin paced Medfield's offense, picking up 13 kills. Larkin got some help from Ava Pender and her 24 assists. Pender was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Medfield's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Old Rochester Regional, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Medfield will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bellingham at 6:15 p.m. on the 20th. As for Old Rochester Regional, they will take on Greater New Bedford RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
