Alisal dropped their record down to 13-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 6-1 to the North Monterey County Condors. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for North Monterey County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games.

For North Monterey County's part, they let Leo Cruz and Tyler Baldwin run wild. Cruz went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run, while Baldwin went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Baldwin is becoming a predictor of North Monterey County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-10 when he doesn't). JT Islas was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple.

While Alisal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
