Basketball Recap: Reading Memorial Comes Up Short

Reading Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 71-56 to the Winchester Red & Black. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Red & Black are ranked 37th).

Reading Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Winchester, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reading Memorial will face off against Wakefield Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winchester, they will be playing at home against Watertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
