The Denver Academy of Torah Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 82-31 defeat at the hands of Hillel Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Denver Academy of Torah came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 264th in Colorado, while Hillel Academy is ranked 639th in Pennsylvania).
Denver Academy of Torah's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Daniel Fiedler, who scored eight points, and Shmuely Brackman who scored eight points.
Denver Academy of Torah has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Hillel Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Denver Academy of Torah's road trip will continue as they head out to face Columbus Torah Academy at 8:15 p.m. on January 27th. Columbus Torah Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Hillel Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Neighborhood Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
