Football Game Preview: Huntington Beach Oilers vs. La Habra Highlanders + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Brady Edmunds and DJ Mitchell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Huntington Beach Oilers will face off against the La Habra Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

La Habra will be up against a hot Huntington Beach team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Oilers breezed past Laguna Hills to the tune of 65-10 on Friday. The Oilers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Troy Foster was his usual excellent self, picking up 245 receiving yards and five TDs. His longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Santillan, who rushed for 78 yards and one score.

Huntington Beach's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Steel Kurtz with two sacks.

Meanwhile, La Habra took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-3 win over El Dorado. The contest marked the Highlanders' most dominant victory of the season.

Huntington Beach better keep an eye on Bryce Vasquez. He was instrumental in La Habra's win, picking up 159 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Huntington Beach's record now sits at 5-1. As for La Habra, their record is now an identical 5-1.

Huntington Beach couldn't quite finish off La Habra when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 37-35. Can the Oilers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
