Softball Recap: Green Hope Takes a Loss

Green Hope lost against Apex back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Green Hope took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Apex.

Ainsley Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Josselyn DeSantis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Green Hope has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. With the victory, Apex broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Green Hope will challenge rival Panther Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Apex is set to face off against their familiar foe Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
