Northmont hadn't done well against Miamisburg recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Thunderbolts walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Vikings. This was payback for the Thunderbolts, who suffered a 7-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Northmont is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Miamisburg, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
