California City came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Delano Tigers. 15 seems to be a good number for the Ravens as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Blake Moore and Aaroon Moreno were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Moore struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Moreno pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moore has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Moore went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Moreno scored a run while going 1-for-2. Moreno also brought in three RBI, which is notable because California City is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 3-5-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, Dylan Hammer was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two triples, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kole Hightower, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

California City's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for Delano, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Coming up, California City will be playing at home against Bishop Union at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Ravens' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Delano, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-6 win against McFarland on the 5th.
