Volleyball Recap: Englewood Takes a Loss

After flying high against Westside last Wednesday, Englewood came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Wolfson Wolfpack on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Rams have struggled against the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-9.

Despite the loss, Englewood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Phoenix Kimura had 17 digs. Kimura is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Wolfson found their leader in freshman Carter Rowell, who had 24 assists and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Rowell.

Englewood now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Wolfson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Englewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Riverside on the 11th. As for Wolfson, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Episcopal School of Jacksonville on the 10th.
