Eno River Academy is 0-7 against Voyager Academy since February of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Eno River Academy Bobcats will challenge the Voyager Academy Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Eno River Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last six games.

Eno River Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cire McGhee, who went 6 for 10 to rack up 19 points. Those 19 points gave McGhee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Kroothoep, who posted eight points in addition to six steals and five boards.
Meanwhile, Voyager Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Pride 80-55. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Pride are ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Voyager Academy's win came from a few key players Eno River Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Manny Pullium, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points along with six steals and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Smith, who scored nine points in addition to five steals and three blocks.
Voyager Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
Voyager Academy pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points over those games. As for Eno River Academy, their record now sits at 13-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Eno River Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Voyager Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Eno River Academy was taken down by Voyager Academy 75-47 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Eno River Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
