Softball Recap: Casteel Comes Up Short

Casteel was the 11-8 winner over Perry when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts came up short against the Pumas on Tuesday, falling 16-1.

Jordin Branch was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Casteel has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Perry, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pumas beat Casteel by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday.
