Softball Recap: Canyon Hills Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Canyon Hills can now relate to. They fell 4-0 to the Southwest EC Eagles on Wednesday. Considering the last time the Rattlers couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Natalye Debus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Canyon Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Southwest EC, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Canyon Hills nor Southwest EC have any future games scheduled.
