The Beaver Local Beavers will take on the River View Black Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Beaver Local is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Beaver Local is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cardinal Mooney just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 5-1 to the Cardinals. The matchup marked the Beavers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Addie Thurik put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but River View ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Minerva by a score of 7-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Black Bears as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Haylee Hall spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Hallie Wallace was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Yoder, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Beaver Local's defeat dropped their record down to 23-4. As for River View, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.
River View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Beaver Local hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for River View, though, as they've only averaged .234. Will they be able to contain Beaver Local's hitters?
