Basketball Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale lost against Curwensville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Glendale Vikings took a blow against the Curwensville Golden Tide, falling 65-38. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glendale's loss came despite strong showings from Joey Kitko and David Frowner. Kitko posted 12 points and three steals, while Frowner scored 12 points.

Leading Curwensville to victory were Davis Fleming and Breck Finn. Fleming went 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds, while Finn went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points. The matchup was Fleming's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chandler English, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points and six boards.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Curwensville, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Glendale has already played their next game, a 57-37 loss against North Star on the 27th. As for Curwensville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-44 defeat against DuBois Central Catholic on the 28th.
