Volleyball Recap: Mount Union Comes Up Short

If Mount Union was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Claysburg-Kimmel on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 3-1 to the Huntingdon Bearcats on Monday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 26-28, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Mount Union still got an impressive performance from Lily Hicks, who had three digs and three aces. Hicks is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Tenly Huffnagle was another key player, getting five digs and two blocks.

Mount Union now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Huntingdon, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Mount Union has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Branch on the 16th. Huntingdon has also already played their next contest (against Hollidaysburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
