Basketball Recap: Thomas More Prep-Marian Extends Winning Streak to Three

It's playoff time, and Thomas More Prep-Marian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Wichita County Indians 55-37 on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Monarchs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Indians are ranked 42nd).

The victory (which was Thomas More Prep-Marian's third in a row) raised their record to 14-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points over those games. As for Wichita County, their defeat ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Thomas More Prep-Marian will square off against Hoxie at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wichita County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
