Softball Recap: Lawrence North Wildcats vs. Ben Davis Giants
After flying high against Warren Central on Friday, Lawrence North came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 9-6 to the Ben Davis Giants on Saturday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Giants apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Jaida Wheat made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ginger Strelow, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Lawrence North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Ben Davis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence North will venture away from home to take on Brownsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
